The CCNA Board v2

Lorie moved to Carmichael in 2019 and quite literally hit the ground running, racing through Ancil Hoffman with her dog and husband, and right onto the CCNA Board. Her love for the Sacramento region is for its cultural and racial diversity and the gorgeous open spaces nearby, including the American River Parkway, the “crown jewel” of Sacramento. Lorie’s professional background includes her current role in natural resource management for the State of California, and former roles as a land use planner for county government in California, and as a conservation planner living in South America and Europe. She has volunteered extensively over the years focused on wildlife conservation, elections oversight and management, and social welfare which included her volunteering during the height of the refugee crisis in Europe in 2015. These experiences over the past 20 years of her professional life have prepared Lorie to take on the mix of challenges that face our neighborhood. She’s President of the organization and seeks to be responsive to issues, big and small, facing our community.

Emily and her family have been residents of Carmichael for almost 15 years. Originally from the East Coast, they have made their home in the area and cherish the neighborhood, especially the American River Parkway, Ancil Hoffman Park and Effie Yeaw Nature Preserve. Emily can often be seen walking their two Bernese Mountain dogs around the neighborhood, running in the park, or paddling on the river. She is pleased to serve as a board member of CCNA where she hopes to contribute to the strength of our community as an engaged citizen and further get to know her neighbors

Frank has been a resident of Sacramento County, most recently Carmichael, for over 50 years. He appreciates the American River parkway, Effie Yeaw nature center and the proximity to his sons and their families. He feels blessed to have  Ancil Hoffman Park a stone’s throw from his house and feels this area is amazing! As the Founder of a 30 plus year old Environmental Maintenance Equipment company servicing California and Nevada, he believes his professional experience gives him insight to bring to the Carmichael Colony Association.

Brandon was born and raised in Carmichael in the home his father built in the 1970’s. He now owns that house with his wife, Kayla, and two daughters, Callie and Amelia. He is proud to be raising his daughters to appreciate the nature and peace provided by Ancil Hoffman Park and the American River while also seeing them attend his Alma Mater of Deterding Elementary. Brandon is a Battalion Chief for CAL FIRE and hopes to bring his resource management background into restoring and maintaining the safety of the park. His hobbies are endless and grow by the day, but on any given day you may see him golfing in Ancil Hoffman, riding his bike, paddling on the river, snowboarding (either in Tahoe or Japan), or tending to his garden, bees, and chickens.
